GENERAL INFORMATION
Feeding Trough Channel
Designed with a user-friendly and wide-mouth structure, this highly practical feeding trough channel is manufactured from 1 mm thick galvanized sheet steel. (Channel lengths are 3 meters.)
Feeding Trough Corner
Requiring no lubrication or maintenance, the ductile iron channel feeding trough and corner assembly is one of the most critical components of the line. The 90-degree corner operates seamlessly even at high speeds, thanks to its heat-treated guide rail and self-lubricating shaft bearing. It is fully compatible with both floor-mounted (footed) and winchable (suspended) automatic chain feeding systems. It features both height-adjustable foot connection points and suspension handles for suspended installation.
Feeding Chain
Crafted from a specialized alloy material, our chain completely eliminates twisting, stretching, and slack. It features a tensile strength of up to 12 kN and is offered in two variations based on customer preference. Operating in total harmony with corner and drive sprocket assemblies, it is highly resistant to high-speed operations.
Channel Feeding Winch System
In the winchable feeding system, the motor operates beneath the roof truss, connected via pulleys and steel cables to the channel suspension bridges, corners, and hopper. The motor is equipped with a brake and dual gear reducers, reducing the speed to 5 RPM to transmit smooth, controlled movement to the cable winding drums via a 50 mm pipe. To keep the pulley pipe balanced and eliminate deflection, it is secured between 4 bearing wheels made of custom Castamid material. Upward and downward movement is controlled via the main control panel.
Grill
The channel grill is engineered to ensure birds feed uniformly and in equal portions. The design remains identical across both floor-mounted and winchable systems. It features an integrated shock wire system, is impact-resistant, and will not flex. Grill spacing can be customized to suit specific poultry species.
Drive Unit (Motor Assembly)
The drive unit supplies power to the chain feeding system. Connected via a sprocket assembly, the gear mounted to the motor shaft drives the chain. Drive units are manufactured to fit both winchable and floor-mounted systems identically. This design approach ensures seamless transitions if a facility decides to convert from a floor-mounted system to a winchable system or vice versa.
Drive Unit and Gear System
Winchable Automatic Chain Feeding Systems: Equipped with Single-Speed motors.
Floor-Mounted Automatic Chain Feeding Systems: Equipped with Dual-Speed motors.
Feed Hopper
The hopper serves as the initial entry point for feed coming from the silo into the feeding line. From this point, feed is distributed throughout the line using specialized chains. Hopper sizes vary depending on farm capacity, with options for multiple outlet configurations available upon request. Additionally, hoppers are constructed with floor supports for floor-mounted systems and with dual suspension/foot mountings for winchable systems, allowing the same hopper unit to be utilized across both configurations. Capacity: 240–600 kg.
Trough Legs and Bridge Brackets
Manufactured from 2 mm thick galvanized sheet steel, these height-adjustable channel bridges are used in automatic floor-mounted feeding systems. They align perfectly with the leg assembly and can also be fitted with suspension brackets for use in winchable feeding systems.
Nest Boxes
Featuring a galvanized steel body, our nest boxes are built with wooden perches where birds step. The perch board folds upward at night to prevent birds from entering and roosting inside during off-hours. The sloped roof design prevents birds from perching on top. Each nest compartment accommodates 3 to 4 birds. Filling the nest boxes with bedding material (such as wood shavings) helps prevent heat loss. Nest boxes should be positioned in secluded, dimmed areas of the poultry house.
Control Panel
ALFAN electrical control panels utilize premium Siemens switchgear components. The panel enclosure is finished with electrostatic powder coating and features a modular design for easy disassembly and reassembly. Because the motor driving the chain in winchable systems is single-speed, the chain feed cycle is initiated via a simple start-stop button. For the winching line, dedicated control buttons manage the upward and downward movement of the entire line, while integrated safety limit switches automatically regulate maximum high and low travel limits.
